A gaming and historical experience not to be missed!
This year, we are thrilled to announce our participation in the Open de France des Jeux d’Histoire (OFJH 2026) in Bordeaux, where we will showcase our latest board games, inspired by major historical events. The event will take place from September 24 to 27, 2026, at the Hôtel M & SPA in Bordeaux-Mérignac. This is your chance to discover our games and chat with the creators.
Here’s what you can explore:
- Brandywine, 1777 – A Time for Heroes: This game, which recreates the Battle of Brandywine during the American Revolutionary War, will be available for physical purchase for the first time! This is your chance to get a signed copy…
- Austerlitz, 1805 – Un Coup de Tonnerre: Our upcoming game based on Napoleon’s famous battle will be on demo! You’ll also be able to pre-order it soon on Gamefound.
- Friedland, 1807 – A Time for Heroes: Another exclusive demo of our next game in the A Time for Heroes series awaits you, letting you relive one of Napoleon’s greatest triumphs.
- Sainte Hélène – L’envol de l’Aigle: Also on demo, this game lets you attempt Napoleon’s escape from his exile on St. Helena after his defeat in 1815.
A few other titles from Sound of Drums will also be available for purchase, such as the excellent 1793: Patriotes et Traitres by Jason St Just.
An expanded team will be present at the event, including our regulars: Jason St Just, creator of Sainte Hélène; Yves and Valentin, co-designers of Brandywine; and Sébastien, an expert in historical miniatures. But you’ll also have the chance to meet Marc Peronno, the creator of Friedland, and Julien Adam, who will be presenting the Castillon prototype for the first time.
